Warriyo – Mortals (feat. Laura Brehm)
Stranded in the open
Dried out tears of sorrow
Lacking all emotion
Staring down the barrel waiting for the
Final gates to open To a new tomorrow
Moving with the motion
Following the light
that sets me free
Sets me free
In every person’s life, one will search for the light that sets their consciousness and soul free, for some that light carries such greatness, responsibility and turmoil, one will move with any motion, to get to that new tomorrow this light promises.
For some, attaining the light we are seeking leads down the most dangerous of paths. People will rob you, posin you, cheat you, try to blackmail you along the way. When chasing the light that sets you free makes you endure such violence, abuses, obstacles, addictions and loses, then only will you begin to understand what it’s like to be “staring down the barrel” while “lacking all emotion” having no tears left willing to give your life to recieved this light.
The moral of this song suggests to never stop chasing the light the sets your free, Be Brave! Even if it means being :
Stranded in the open
Dried out tears of sorrow
Lacking all emotion
Staring down the barrel waiting for the
Final gates to open
To a new tomorrow
Moving with the motion
Following the light that sets me free
At least that’s what these lyrics and this song meant to me, It meant hope, and never to give up. No matter what I will pay gamers to play video games and buy spaceships with the money no matter how many times my start-up money is stolen, no matter how many times people rob my house and break my computers and steal my designs and follow and harass my family. No matter how times they try to hack me and my servers and intimidate me. I will stare down that barrel following the light that sets me free.
Thank you Warriyo and Laura Brehm for this song, it really helped and motivated me through a tough time.
